They say “words matter.” But apparently, they only matter when they come from the Right.
Because when a Democrat backed by the entire gun confiscation lobby threatens to shoot a Republican leader in the head — suddenly the “party of peace” and their “gun safety” allies lose their voices.
Meet Jay Jones, the Virginia Democrat running for Attorney General — the top law enforcement officer in the state — who was just caught making violent threats toward Republican House Speaker Todd Gilbert.
In private text messages, Jones reportedly said:
“Three people, two bullets. Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.”
He didn’t stop there. He also referred to Republicans as “breeding little fascists” and even talked about “p***ing on their graves.”
This is the man the gun control lobby has thrown its weight — and its money — behind.
Bought and Paid For by the Gun Control Lobby
Jones isn’t just some fringe radical. He’s the chosen candidate of Everytown for Gun Safety, which poured $200,000 into his campaign.
Or as we like to call them: Everytown for Gun Confiscation.
He’s also backed by Moms Demand Action — or as gun owners know them, Moms Against Guns — the Bloomberg-funded mouthpiece for disarming law-abiding Americans while cheering on soft-on-crime leftists.
And here’s where it gets truly disgusting:
Even after Jones’s violent comments were made public — even after he joked about executing Republicans — Everytown quietly scrubbed his endorsement from their website… but they still haven’t formally rescinded their support.
Why? Because to them, “gun violence” only matters when it advances their agenda.
Groups like Giffords PAC, Brady PAC and Prevent Gun Tragedies Pac are still listed on his campaign endorsements page.
Violence in the Wake of Violence
Jay Jones’s threats come at a time when America is already reeling from an epidemic of political violence from the Left.
Just weeks ago, Charlie Kirk — a conservative speaker and Christian leader — was assassinated in Utah by a 22-year-old radical who carved “Hey fascist! Catch!” into his bullets.
And that’s just the latest in a long, bloody trend:
Multiple assassination attempts on President Trump.
A rooftop sniper attack on an ICE office in Dallas.
Antifa killers, transgender school shooters, and left-wing extremists who see conservatives as subhuman.
This is the climate Jay Jones is feeding. This is the culture his words help inflame.
And where’s Everytown? Where’s the media that screams about “gun violence” every time a firearm is misused?
Nowhere. Silent. Because the violence serves their politics and keeps their fundraising machine running.
The Left Doesn’t Oppose Gun Violence — They Want a Monopoly on It

But when a Democrat does it? They cover it up, delete a webpage, and move on like nothing happened.
As Chris McNutt, president of Texas Gun Rights recently said: “Jay Jones is the perfect example of the Left’s hypocrisy. They scream about ‘gun violence’ while cheering for the people who commit it — so long as the targets are conservatives.”
